Man docked for alleged burglary in Osun

A 30-year-Oldman, Samuel Jimoh, was on Thursday arraigned in an Osogbo Magistrates’ Court over an alleged burglary.

Jimoh is facing a seven count charge of conspiracy, theft and burglary.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Fagboyinbo Abioduni, told the court that the accused committed the offense sometimes between September 2016 and Jan. 2017 at Halleluyah estate and Aiyetoro area, Osogbo.

Abiodun said Jimoh conspired with others now at large to enter into the apartments of one Ekundayo Ige and Olaniran Aiyeku.

He said the accused carted away some household items to include Plasma Television, generator, Dell Laptop among others.

He said the offense committed contravened sections 516,411(2), 390(9) of the criminal code cap 34 vol. 11 laws of Osun. 2003.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the seven count-charge.

Counsel to the accused, Mrs Adeyinka Bose, prayed the Magistrate to grant her client bail in the most liberal terms.

The Magistrate, Mr Olubukola Olowolagba granted the accused bail in the sum of N1 Million and two sureties in like sum.

Olowolagba said the sureties must reside within the court jurisdiction with evidence of tax payment and two passport sized photographs, attached with an affidavit of means.

The case was adjourned to March 22 for mention.
