There was pandemonium among local gin vendors in the Alaba area of Lagos as the corpse of an unidentified man was discovered along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway after allegedly taking some local gin.
DAILY POST gathered that the unidentified man met his death on Monday while staggering home after leaving a drinking parlour where local gin, popularly called paraga was sold. He reportedly fell and hit his head on the pavement.
According to an eyewitness, the deceased while dying called for help by repeatedly lifting his right hand, but no one went to his rescue.
The incident was said to have generated tension among local gin vendors in the area as they shut their joints for fear of being apprehended in connection with the death of the deceased.
It was further gathered that police officers from the Orile Division on arrival at the scene, confirmed the unidentified man dead.
