A mere misunderstanding that should have been considered normal between a man and his wife has resulted into serious tragedy in a one time peaceful home, as a middle aged woman, Ndidi Emeka Mordi, was brutally murdered by her husband, Chukwudi Mordia at their home in Egbudu-Aka town, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.
DailyPost Metro gathered that the couple had allegedly disagreed over an issue the previous night before the ugly incident happened.
It was learnt that Chukwudi woke up the next day and dealt severe machete cuts her wife, Ndid before disappearing into thin air in order to avoid the wrath of the people.
The Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Police Command, ASP Famous Ajieh who confirmed the incident, added that one Sunday Ogbu of Ishiagu, reported the matter to the police.
Ajieh said the police had gone to the scene of the crime and that the corpse had since been deposited at a mortuary for autopsy.
The Police Spokesperson also confirmed to DailyPost that Chukwudi is still at large, urging natives of the area to assist the command as it intensifies efforts towards tracking down the suspect.
