Man attempts suicide after catching wife with lover

There was a mild drama in the Victoria Fall’s area of Zimbabwe as a cheating husband, Mbuso Sithole who spent the night in a brothel attempted suicide after returning home to see his wife with another of her lover in bed.

It was gathered that Sithole had lied to his wife that he was attending a funeral in another town only to visit a prostitute he was dating where he spent the night.

Unknown to him, Sithole his wife, Sgcebhe Moyo had other plans as she invited her lover over to the house. Luck however ran out on Moyo when Sithole returned earlier than expected, only to meet his wife and her lover in their matrimonial bed.

Following the discovery, Sithole was said to have attempted suicide by taking a poisonous substance. But for the timely intervention of his mother who is a nurse, he would have died.

Sithole while explaining why he attempted suicide told his family that the pain of seeing his wife with another man in his bed made him to try to commit suicide. He however blamed himself for lying to his wife that he was going to a funeral while he was actually with his girlfriend.

Sithole further stated that he walked home from his girlfriend’s house and on getting home, felt something was not right as his wife took a longer time before opening the door.

“The next thing, the window opened and a half naked man whom I recognized as Ra, shot out and sprinted away before I could react.

“Yes, it’s true that I wanted to commit suicide as I drank rat poison. I’ve a girlfriend called Blessing Chiedza Banda and on Thursday, I told my wife that I was going to a funeral wake when actually I was going to sleep over at her place.

“I wanted to kill myself because I couldn’t imagine my wife having a boyfriend,” Sithole revealed.
