A mild drama played out at the weekend in Lagos after a certain man accused Nigerian singer, born Esegine Allen, better known by his stage name Orezi, of having an affair with his wife.
The ‘Rihanna’ crooner had just finished a show in Surulere, Lagos, on Sunday when the man waylaid him and accused him of ‘sleeping with his wife’.
In a video by GoldmyneTV which has gone viral on the internet, the man had attacked the singer and tried to beat him up, but for the intervention of some mobile policemen in Orezi’s company.
According to the accuser, Orezi enjoyed ‘easy access to his wife because he is a celebrity’.
He was heard echoing: “Because say he be celeb, he go fit dey touch or knack my wife, shey e good like that?”
However, the stunned singer kept singing, “It is a ghen ghen thing ooo.”
Meanwhile, Orezi and his management are yet to issue an official comment in reaction to the allegation.
