A 36-year-old man has reportedly abducted and raped an 11-month-old baby in India.
Times of India is reporting that the suspected rapist defiled the minor for almost two hours in a jungle in Delhi.
According to the report, the suspect abducted his victim from her mother who was sleeping in a makeshift shelter at a police housing complex in Delhi India.
The unnamed suspect was said to have ran off with the baby to a nearby drain, tore her clothes, leaving her with nail marks all over the body and inflicting severe injuries which might reportedly have a lifelong impact on her health.
Police reports have it that operatives who received a tip off, arrived the scene to find the baby unconscious but alive.
The police said the victim was bleeding profusely and was immediately rushed to the intensive care unit at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, noting that doctors at the hospital said that her condition is serious.
The suspect was reportedly traced to the labour camp in Delhi and upon his arrest, he confessed to abducting the child.
According to the suspect, he took his victim to the bush beside a drain and raped her for nearly two hours.
