Malaga vs Real Madrid: Zidane to drop Ronaldo for LaLiga clash

Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, is likely to leave Cristiano Ronaldo out of his squad for Sunday’s LaLiga trip to Malaga.

Ronaldo will be rested following Real’s midweek Champions League exertions.

The Portugal captain has been rested for three of Madrid’s last four away trips and is again expected to sit out the game at La Rosaleda.

Zidane could also be without Luka Modric and Dani Carvajal.

Modric appeared to pick up a problem in the first half of the game on Wednesday and was replaced by Mateo Kovacic.

Carvajal completed 90 minutes against Juventus, but also missed training with the group when the team returned to work on Friday.

Real have confirmed that Castilla full-back, Alvaro Tejero, joined the first team for training and that Nacho is continuing to recover from an injury that has kept him sidelined since their game against Las Palmas on March 31.
