Manchester United defender, Luke Shaw, has insisted he is not one of the Premier League players, planning to announce that they are gay.
On Friday, the UK Mirror claimed that two players including one England international, were set to disclose their sexuality.
The rumour mill went into overdrive afterwards and Shaw was speculated to be one of them.
He took to Twitter to reply to a message posted by United fan account @UnitedStandMUFC which read: “The idiocy of these Luke Shaw rumours & he’s not even gay! And so what if he is? He’s a United player and we support him #MUFC”.
Shaw replied: “it’s not me so everyone can shut up now.”
@UnitedStandMUFC later replied: “It’s just keyboard warriors trying to stir up trouble. Bottom line. United fans have YOUR back Luke. Speedy Recover pal # MUFC.”
