Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said Romelu Lukaku was “not useful” to the team as they beat Perth Glory 2-0 in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.
The Belgian did not feature at all as United strolled to victory in Australia amid uncertainty about his future at the club.
Earlier this week, Inter Milan confirmed they were in talks for the 26-year-old, who has lost his place to Marcus Rashford.
Asked whether Lukaku would be a Red Devils player next season, Solskjaer kept his cards close to his chest.
“Let’s see when the season starts.
“We’ve not had any bids that we’re considering. All my conversations with the players I will keep confidential. That’s between us – that’s my privilege.
“There’s been so much speculation but yes he should be fit for Wednesday. He trained with the team yesterday but he wasn’t useful today,” Solskjaer told reporters after the game.
