Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, has taken a swipe at Chelsea defender David Luiz, after Rafael was sent off in the dying minutes of their 1-0 defeat to the Blues.
“He [Rafael] retaliates but he [David Luiz] quite clearly elbows him twice then rolls about like a diving swan and that convinces the referee. He was smiling, it’s bad. What kind of professional is that?” he asked.
The Scot however felt his team should have done better against Rafa Benitez men, although he conceded that Chelsea had more to play for.
“There is always an expectation that we should do better. We expected a better performance. After the goal we had no time to get back in it. After that the game was start-stop,” he said.
“It was difficult for players coming in. Chelsea had everything to play for. They [some of our players] haven’t played for quite a while. That being said, we should be doing better.”
