Barcelona manager, Luis Enrique, has left out defender – Jeremy Mathieu, from Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Juventus at the Camp Nou.
The 33-year-old endured a miserable outing in the first leg which the Catalans lost 3-0 in Turin.
Enrique also left Mathieu on the bench for last weekend’s 3-2 win over Real Sociedad in La Liga.
However, he has been left out completely for the visit of Juventus, with Javier Mascherano making a return after sitting out due to calf injury.
Goalkeeper Jordi Masip and injured trio Arda Turan, Rafinha and Aleix Vidal were also omitted.
Speaking ahead of the game, where Barcelona have to score four times to win, Enrique said: “We have nothing to lose. We have one option, which is to attack, attack and keep attacking.
“Anything can happen in football. The more players at their best, the better our chances, of course, but Messi at 25 percent can add a lot of things, he’s different.”
