Coach of the Germany national team, Joachim Low, has been awarded the FIFA World Coach of the Year.
The 54-year-old led his nation to World Cup glory last year in Brazil, defeating Argentina 1-0 after extra time in the final.
Low beat Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti and Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone to the prize.
After picking up the award, he said: “This is a huge honour for me to receive this award after hugely successful 2014. This is the icing on the cake of the World Cup. This is not considered to me to be my property but I am just taking it on behalf of the others.”
