The four Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clubs representing the country in the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup, will receive N2million from the League Management Company (LMC).
This weekend, Kano Pillars, Enyimba, Dolphins and Warri Wolves, will begin their quest for continental glory.
In the Champions League, Pillars travel to Al-Malakia in Juba, while Enyimba welcomes Buffles du Borgou.
Dolphins visit Equatorial Guinea to play Leones Vegetarianos, while Warri Wolves are also away to Burkina Faso’s RC Bobo-Dioulasso.
“We wish our clubs and the two junior national teams well in their outings beginning this weekend and also offer our support to inspire the players to excellent performance building on the benefits of the Glo Premier League Super-4 which was organized to prepare them for the continental engagements,” Nduka Irabor, the LMC chairman said.
“We are also aware that your need is more than what has been offered but we expect that the respective proprietors will continue to play their role and equip you adequately to be good ambassadors and flag bearers of your fans, the league and Nigerian football generally.”
