The League Management Company (LMC), has begun the process of paying outstanding salaries owed to FC Taraba players.
Players of the Jalingo team, have been protesting the monies and allowances owed them for nearly 11 months, by sleeping outside the state government house for days.
However, the LMC’s Chief Operation Officer, Salis Abubakar, has said they have resolved to pay the players from their own pockets.
“On FC Taraba, we have told them despite they have gone down to the lower league but we still have money that is supposed to be paid to them,” Abubakar told Goal.
“We have wrote them that the money that is for the club, we are not paying the team, but directly to the players.
“Let us know the obligation of the players and to give us their accounts as soon as we receive their reply on that, we are paying the players directly from the LMC.”
