The League Management Company (LMC), has fined Nasarawa United, Abia Warriors, Heartland and Giwa FC, for their fans’ behaviour and failure to provide adequate security during matches.
LMC confirmed that Giwa FC will pay N500,000 as punishment for their supporters’ conduct, during a home game against Kano Pillars and another N250,000 for inability to provide security.
Nasarawa United has been fined N500,000 for their fan’s behaviour in the match against Lobi Stars and issued a warning that a repeat will lead to stadium ban.
Abia Warriors and Heartland were also ordered to pay N500,000.
Coach of Enyimba, Khadiri Ikhana, has been charged over his comments and fined N100,000, while chairman of Heartland Supporters Club, Iyke Jacob, has been handed a six-game ban for intimidation of match officials. .
