The League Management Company (LMC) has shifted the resumption date of the second stanza of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) to May 21.
This was confirmed on Monday via their official Twitter handle.
“2016-2017 season now to resume May 21.
“Resumption date adjusted to allow State FAs conduct Federation Cup finals and the completion of outstanding First Round matches,” LMC said.
The league was initially scheduled to resume on May 7, but has now been moved forward, in order to clear a backlog of outstanding fixtures
Plateau United still top the league table with 35 points, MFM FC are second with 33 points and El-Kanemi Warriors are third also on 33 points.
