The League Management Company (LMC), has given its approval for six clubs to return to their home grounds.
This directive means that Heartland Football Club will continue hosting its Glo Nigeria Professional Football League matches at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.
The club was playing its home games at the Rojenny Stadium in Oba, Anambra State, after the initial ban.
Other clubs affected by the LMC decision are Giwa FC (Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos), Nasarawa United, (Lafiya Township Stadium), FC Taraba (Jolly Nyame Stadium, Jalingo), FC IfeanyiUbah (Gabros Stadium, Nnewi) and Abia Warriors (Umuahia Township Stadium).
The LMC decertified the grounds from Day 11, after they were inspected and adjudged to be below standards. The affected clubs were asked to work on different facilities and notify the LMC for further inspection.
A circular signed by the LMC Chief Operating Officer, Salihu Abubakar, explained that a final inspection will be carried at each stadium during match days.
“Those we find to have met requirements for certification will be approved to continue hosting matches for the rest of the season while any venue found not to have complied to standard will be decertified indefinitely and the club will return to the alternative venue from Match Day 24″,” the LMC stated in the circular.
