The League Management Company (LMC), are in talks with a few corporate bodies, with a view to getting new sponsors for the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
According to Goal, one of Nigeria’s biggest commercial banks, Zenith Bank and telecommunications giants, Etisalat, are both keen on replacing Globacom.
The NPFL’s three-year agreement with Glo ended after the 2016 Super Four pre-season tournament in Uyo.
In an announcement to confirm this development, the LMC stated that the title sponsorship of the NPFL, was now open to all interested corporate bodies.
It remains to be seen if a deal can be agreed before the new season kicks of February 21.
