The League Management Company (LMC), has decided to lift the closed-gate sanction imposed on MFM FC, because of the scheduling of the live broadcast of Match Day 25 between the club and Ikorodu United.

That sanction will now come into effect from their Match Day 27 home fixture against Heartland FC.

“This decision has been taking in the exercise of its powers derived from the NPFL Rule Book and pursuant to taking any decisions the LMC to be in the overall good of the game”.

“The live broadcast schedule of NPFL matches are decided far ahead of the dates and we can neither allow such a game played without fans to be broadcast nor disrupt the operations of our broadcast partners”.

MFM hosts Ikorodu United in what has been labelled ‘the Lagos Derby’ on Sunday at the Agege Stadium.
