Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has said that he has ‘no idea’ if Roberto Firmino will be available for Liverpool’s first Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield on Tuesday night.
Firmino was forced off during the Reds’ 2-1 Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Saturday after sustaining an eye injury in a freak collision with Jan Vertonghen.
The Brazilian attacker did not suffer much damage from the clash and was quickly discharged from hospital but it is not certain if he would be fit to face the Ligue 1 champions.
The 26-year old will undergo last minute tests, with Klopp sweating on the fitness of his star striker.
“No idea, to be honest. He is much better,” Metro UK quoted Klopp as saying.
“We all see the picture and we were massively worried. But all these worries are away so he will be fine.
“If he will be fine for tomorrow, I don’t know in the moment.
“We are obviously in close contact with him and it improved already – but in this moment I can’t say if he will be available for tomorrow.”
