According to reports in the UK Telegraph and The Times, Liverpool have rejected Arsenal’s £30million bid for Luis Suarez.

The Uruguay is keen to leave Anfield this summer and has granted several interviews, in which he revealed that he is not happy with the sort of media coverage he gets in England. Although the 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, Arsene Wenger has decided to test Liverpool’s resolve by sending in an offer for their star striker.

However, despite their insistence that he will stay, Liverpool are looking to offload the former Ajax man for around £50million. It is however left to be seen, if Brendan Rodgers will consider selling Suarez to a major rival in the Premier League, amidst interest from Chelsea.

The club has given Suarez until July 22 to sort out his future, before the club embarks on its pre-season tour to Australia.
