Following Brendan Rodgers’ sack on Sunday, Liverpool are confident that they will get Jurgen Klopp to become their new manager.
The Reds are expected to hold talks with Klopp this week, as they are keen to appoint a replacement before their next game away at Tottenham on October 17.
Klopp won two Bundesliga titles in his seven-year stint as Borussia Dortmund manager, but stepped down from the position at the end of last season.
He is believed to be ready for a return to management and reports claim he is keen on the Anfield job, as he would be fulfilling his ambition of managing in England.
Former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti, is also believed to be under consideration, but Klopp remains firm favourite to take the job.
