Robert Lewandoski grabbed all four goals, as Borussia Dortmund defeated Real Madrid 4-1 on Wednesday evening.
A day after Bayern Munich smashed four unreplied goals past Barcelona, the Polish striker – who is rumoured to be moving to Bayern along with Mario Gotze – took Jurgen Klopp’s men a step closer to an all-German final.
Lewandoski opening scoring in the 8th minute, sliding onto a cross from the left, before Higuain latched onto a loose Hummels pass and squared for Ronaldo to make it 1-1. Four minutes after the break, The Dortmund frontman made it 2-1 with a close range finish, amidst calls for handball. He added one more fantastic goal from inside the box, before scoring from the spot after Marco Reus was brought down.
Madrid now have it all to do in the return leg in Spain, as Jose Mourinho chases his third European title and the Spanish giants’ La Decima.
