The Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) on Wednesday announced that there will be restriction of both vehicular and human movement between 8am and 3pm on Saturday May 12, 2018.

The commission said that the restriction was necessary due to the conduct of the local government election taking place on Saturday across the state.

OYSIEC in a statement mailed to DAILY POST by Cosmas Oni, its Media Officer, while urging the electorate to come out en mass and vote during the elections, said that “students sitting for National Board of Technical Examination (NABTEB) with prove of evidence will be allowed to move to their examination centres.”

Oni explained that election will hold in all the 33 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 35 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).

He said that the commission is “urging the general public to troop out en masse to cast their votes for candidates of their choice.

Oni added that “The Commission appealed to the citizens to bear with it over the restriction”.
