Leipzig reject second Liverpool’s €75m bid for Naby Keita

English Premier League giant Liverpool have had a second bid of around €75m (£66m) rejected by RB Leipzig for Naby Keita, according to reports in England on Wednesday.

Liverpool’s initial bid of £57million was rejected days ago and RB Leipzig say they have no intention of selling the Guinea international who scored 8 goals in 29 league games last season.

According to Times, the German club, who finished second behind Bayern in the Bundesliga last season, insisted the central midfielder is not for sale.

Liverpool echo claims that Keita is keen on an Anfield switch but Leipzig owner, Dietrich Mateschitz insists the player will not be allowed to leave.

“We don’t sell any of our players just to get money,” the Austrian billionaire told Sportbild.

Keita was bought for only €15m from Red Bull Salzburg last season.
