Leicester will try to make top 10 next season – Ranieri

Leicester City manager, Claudio Ranieri, has admitted that it would be hard to win the Premier League title again and he will be happy with a top-10 finish year.

The Foxes won the title for the first time in their 132-year history, following Tottenham Hotspurs’ 2-2 draw at Chelsea on Monday.

Ranieri was able to watch the game on television, after flying back from Italy, where he went to have lunch with his 96-year-old mother.

“When something happens to you like this, you can’t fully realise it. Tottenham were winning at half-time, so I was a bit downhearted,” Ranieri told RAI Sport in Italy.

“Then when Cahill scored, I thought something could happen. I did celebrate at Hazard’s equaliser.

“This is a year that cannot be repeated, next year we’ll try to fight for a top 10 place, hopefully. We must continue to grow and to do well.”

Ranieri has never won a league title before during his long career, which has seen him manage teams like Chelsea, Valencia and Juventus.
