Leicester City announce Wilfred Ndidi transfer

Leicester City has confirmed the club has reached an agreement with KRC Genk, for the permanent transfer of Wilfred Ndidi.

The Super Eagles midfielder has already agreed personal terms and undergone a medical with the Premier League champions. He will sign a deal until June 2022, once a work permit has been officially granted.

A statement on Leicester’s official website read in part: “The Foxes beat off considerable competition to secure Ndidi’s signature – the tall, combative central midfielder having won a host of admirers across Europe for his performances both in the Belgian Pro League and in the UEFA Europa League, where he helped Genk progress to this season’s knockout stages as Group F winners.”

Ndidi is expected to complete the formalities of his move later this week.

Leicester City will reportedly pay in the region of £15 million for the Nigeria international.
