Lawani, Akoh, Abubakar, others commiserate with Abba Moro over wife’s death

Elders from Idoma community have commiserated with Abba Moro, immediate past Minister of Interior over the death of his wife, Mrs. Veronica.

Speaking during the condolence visit, Chief Steve Lawani, former deputy governor of Benue State, said the deceased lived an exemplary life.

He said the late Veronica lived a life worthy of emulation and would be forever remembered for her humility and love for God.

“In deed, we have lost a rare gem. She was a woman, who lived an exemplary life that is worthy of emulation.

“On behalf of my family, I am here to extend my condolence to you and the entire Moros.

“This is a big loss to our to the Idoma community at large.

“She left when we needed her most but who are we to question God, the giver and taker of live.

“I pray God to give you and the entire bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”, he said.

Also, leading national officers of the Corps to the Abuja residence of Moro, the National Commandant of the Corps, Amb (Dr.) Dickson Akoh, said the visit was on behalf of the Board of Trustees, the National Executive Council and the entire Officers and Men of PCN.

Akoh, a native of Idoma community, said the news of the demise of late Mrs. Moro was recieved as “a rude shock”, owing to the personal relationship he had with the Moros.

He acknowledged Moro’s “unparalleled support towards the sustenance of youths in Nigeria” during his stewardship as Minister of Interior.

“Though it may be difficult to fill the vacuum created, it is our utmost believe that the Almighty God, in His infinite mercy and compassion, has already taken charge to protect your entire family against any further misfortune”, Akoh said.

Amongst early callers at the residence of the former Minister in condolence include, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbe, former President of the Senate, Dr. David Mark, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim and former Military Administrator of Katsina State, Gen. Lawrence Onoja (Rtd.).

Others include, deputy Governor of Benue State, Engr. Benson Abounu, former deputy Governorship candidate of ACN, Alhaji Usman Abubakar (Young Alhaji), Benue State Chairman of PDP, Sir John Ngbede, Chief Ezekiel Adaji representing Otukpo/Ohimini at the House of Representatives, among others.
