Lawal Qudus Olajide: The many unforced errors of Mr. President

Writer's picture: AdminAdmin

Mr president once announced that he was the most cursed president!

Coming from a leader who rode on public goodwill to claim the throne, one is left wondering, how could a man descend from peak to trough of public affection within so short a period of time?

I doubt if any past Nigerian leader has been bestowed the level of public goodwill Nigerians gave GEJ(which he squandered).

When a leader has to rescind his decision following spurns from his followers, on an occasion he is termed People’s Leader, on two occasions he could be addressed The Listening Leader but when almost every decision of his is followed by popular outcries he needs to review his value as a leader. He certainly has lost touch with the masses A government that has had to rescind more than 5 major decisions within a period of 2yrs, needs an urgent overhaul of its decision making process. -Ban of international soccer -Call for 6-7yrs single tenure -Fuel subsidy removal -LUTH-MAUL -5000 notes etc Unfortunately these decisions do not arise from situations in which the president has to choose between the devil and the deep blue sea. They are decisions that require spinal level of reasoning. With the rate at which this ridiculous decisions are been made, it seems this presidency just has a penchant for gaffes. And just when you think the absurdity has reached its nadir, the government slams you with another descent down the valley of blunders The latest in the series being DSP ALAMI’s Presidential Pardon.

What is next in oga’s bag of balderdash?
