Stephen Keshi was scheduled to meet with officials of Guinea’s national team on Wednesday, before he passed on in the early hours of the day.
The former Super Eagles coach, reportedly died of a cardiac arrest in Benin City at 54.
“Keshi was to meet with some officials over the Guinea coaching job in Lagos today,” a source close to the late coach told only AfricanFootball.com
The Big Boss has already worked with Francophone countries on the continent, when he qualified Togo to the 2006 Cup and took charge of Mali between 2008 and 2010.
Guinea are looking at the possibility of appointing him as Luis Fernandez’s replacement.
