Late James Ocholi: Kogi group accuses Buhari of marginalization

Following the tragic death of former Minister of State for Labour and Productivity along Kaduna – Abuja road a year ago, Kogi socio-political group, Ujache Igala has cried of marginalization by Buhari-led administration.

Chairman of the group, Chief Goodman Akwu, in his speech to mark the one year anniversary of the demise of Ocholi, described as more traumatizing, the blatant refusal of President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint Ocholi’s replacement despite repeated appeals in the last one year.

“More traumatizing therefore, is the contraption, the entire Kogi State, particularly the eastern Senatorial flank found itself as a result of the lack of representation in the federal executive council in the last one year of Ocholi’s demise”, he said.

The group noted that there was no single federal project executed or going on in Kogi State, which they said was as a result of non representation at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, where critical issues were decided.

“A cursory look into the performance dossier of Buhari-led government showed that up till this regretful moment, there is no single executed or ongoing federal projects in Kogi State in the last two years as no one sits in Federal Executive Council meeting to canvass or lobby for citation of Federal projects in the state”, the group said.
