Late IGI boss’ younger brother, Gbolahan Olowude is dead

Barely two weeks after the Executive Vice Chairman of the Industrial and General Insurance Plc, Remi Olowude passed on, his younger brother, Gbolahan, is also dead.

The Eagle Online reports that Gbolahan,60, fondly called Uncle G by staff of IGI Plc, died on Tuesday.

He retired from the foremost insurance company as Assistant Director of the Life Department. Gbolahan suddenly took ill on Tuesday and died before he could get to the hospital.

He was said to have survived a stroke before now and fully recovered.

A senior staff of IGI Plc said Gbolahan was very popular among the staff because of his pro-people stand and policies.

His elder brother, Remi, died about two weeks ago from prostrate cancer.
