Late Group Captain Adedayo Makun to be buried September 19

The former Deputy Director of Defence Information, Defence Headquarters, Group Captain Adedayo Makun, who died about a week ago, would be buried on Friday 19 September 2014 at Military Cemetery, Lungi Barracks, Asokoro Abuja.

Makun died on 10th September, 2014, after a brief illness at the National Hospital, Abuja.

The senior Air Force Officer was born in Ibadan, Oyo State on 15th June 1970, but hailed from Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

He was a member of 41 Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna and commissioned into the Nigerian Air Force as a Pilot Officer on 17th September 1994.

He was promoted to the rank of a Group Captain on 17th September, 2012.

Prior to his posting to Defence Headquarters, he was the Deputy Director, Public Relations at the Directorate of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs Oluwakemi Makun and a baby girl, Oluwajomiloju Makun.
