The remains of the former Kaduna state Military Administrator, late AVM Mukhtar Muhammed, has been laid to rest in Kano on Wednesday.
Muhammed’s corpse was flown into the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport from London by a private jet.
His wife, Hajiya Rabi Mukhtar Muhammed and his two sons, Abba Mukhtar Muhammed and Mukhtar Muhammed popularly known as Mukhtar Junior, were also on the flight.
Late Muhammed’s corpse was received by Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; his Jigawa state counterpart, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar and Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Alhaji Abba Kyari, who led the federal government delegation to Kano from Abuja.
Other members of the delegation included Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu and Minister of state for Aviation, Alhaji Hadi Sirika among others. The corpse was conveyed to Emir’s palace by a Nigeria Air Force’s Ambulance.
The late AVM Mukhtar Muhammed died in a London hospital on Sunday after a protracted illness.
