“The Executive Governor of Plateau State, the Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, on behalf of his family, the entire people and Government of Plateau State, hereby condemn this act in its entirety.
“The Governor express his sympathy to the family of the Ambassador in this travail”
The statement added that, “The security agencies both in Plateau and Kaduna States have been jointly mobilized to unravel the circumstances leading to his abduction and to effect his unconditional release.”
“The Governor expresses worry that this act of kidnapping which is unknown to this part of the country is becoming one too many, and he warns that government will not take it kindly with criminals who take the law in their hands.”
Lalong vowed that the full weight of the law will be placed on hoodlums in the state.
It would be recalled that the Administrative Secretary, Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), and Leader, Nurudeen Society of Nigeria, Sheikh Abdulazeez Yusuf and his driver were last Wednesday. However, they were released two days later.
