Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi has reportedly taken a swipe at team-mate, Ousmane Dembele following his performance in Barcelona’s win over Levante,Spanish outlet Don Balon reports.
The Catalan club on Sunday cemented their position at the top of LaLiga table after beating Levante 3-0 at home.
According to the report, Messi was far from being impressed with Dembele’s performance and told him so in the dressing room after the match.
The Argentine International urged the Frenchman, to pick up his game and to improve his link-up play with himself and Luis Suarez.
Dembele, who spent four months on the sidelines with a thigh injury, started against Levante.
The 20-year-old also looked off the boil in the 1-1 draw with Celta Vigo in the cup in midweek and is clearly lacking match sharpness.
Speaking about his four-month injury lay-off in November, Dembele admitted it would be difficult for him to get back into the Barca team.
“It’ll be very difficult due to the amount of training I’ll have to do,” he said.
“But I’ll be working extremely hard every single day to get back as soon as possible.”
