LaLiga: Ronaldo tells Real Madrid to sign Neymar

Former Brazilian striker, Ronaldo, has called on his former club, Real Madrid to sign compatriot and Paris Saint-Germain star, Neymar.

Real Madrid have been a shadow of themselves this season, falling 19 points adrift of leaders Barcelona and are in a scrap just to finish in the top four, while they have also exited the Copa del Rey.

Neymar, a former Barca star, is said to be itching to return to Spain despite making a superb start to life in France.

Real have been heavily linked with a move for Neymar, who has fallen out with teammate Edinson Cavani, and Ronaldo would welcome seeing his countryman at the Bernabeu.

Speaking at a Nike event in London which both stars attended, Ronaldo said, “He is a superb player, maybe he will be the best in the world in a few years and Real Madrid need the best.

“I haven’t heard any official representative of Real say anything about Neymar.

“But they should think about what they have and this year it is difficult for Madrid, they must keep going and end well.”
