Spanish giants, Real Madrid were on Saturday beaten by Villarreal 1-0 at home in the LaLiga.
Attacking midfielder, Pablo Fornals scored late goal in the game as Villarreal secured all three points.
It was another poor outing from the LaLiga champions as the defeat appears to have ended any of hope of successfully defence of their league crown.
Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo were guilty of missing multiple chances in the first half with Gareth Bale unable to direct a back heel towards goal.
The Los Blancos were also denied two decent claims for a penalty by the referee.
Zinedine Zidane men’s performances in the second-half was dreadful as they failed to really test Sergio Asenjo in goal.
The Yellow Submarines scored late in the game through Fornals who lobbied Keylar Navas after the Costa Rican saved an earlier attempt from a Villarreal counter-attack.
The result means Madrid remain fourth on the table, one point above their opponents and also with a game in hand.
