Barcelona legend, Ronaldinho has asked the club to retire the No. 10 jersey when forward, Lionel Messi brings his career at the club to an end.
Ronaldinho spent five years at Barcelona after arriving in 2003, during which he won two La Liga titles, a Spanish Super Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
The ex-Brazilian international upon departing from the Catalan club in 2008 handed over the iconic number to a young Messi.
He ended his career at the Camp Nou by scoring 94 goals in 207 appearances for Barca.
“When Messi retires, which I hope will be a long time from now, they should leave the No10 there so that nobody can touch it again,” The Sun, UK, quoted Ronaldinho as saying.
Messi has so far scored 556 goals in 641 appearances since his debut for Barcelona and has won five Ballon d’Or awards and a host of honors.
