LaLiga: Real Madrid now 16 points behind Barcelona after Celta Vigo draw

Real Madrid conceded a late goal to draw with Celta Vigo on Sunday night.

It leaves Zinedine Zidane’s side 16 points behind Barcelona, who has earlier beaten Levante 3-0.

After neatly combining with Ashraf Hakimi down the right, Cristiano Ronaldo lost possession and Daniel Wass gave Celta the lead, lifting the ball over Keylor Navas.

Gareth Bale netted a quickfire double, as the LaLiga champions took control of the game.

However, Maxi Gomez struck late, to ensure the hosts got a point.

Zidane’s side however have a game in hand, but next up is Numancia in the Copa del Rey, with Villarreal travelling to the Bernabeu next weekend.
