LaLiga: Malcom breaks silence on rumoured move to Arsenal

Barcelona star, Malcom Filipe Silva de Oliveira, popularly known as Malcom, has distanced himself from a possible move to Arsenal, insisting that he is happy remaining at Camp Nou.

The Spanish champions signed Malcom for £36.5 million from Bordeaux during the summer transfer window. But the 21-year-old has just played a total of 25 minutes in La Liga this season and was given his first start on Wednesday as Barca narrowly beat third-tier side, Cultural Leonesa in the Copa del Rey.

The Gunners were reportedly keen on signing Malcom in the summer and the Gunners have been linked with him once again ahead of the January transfer window.

But the winger insists that he wants to remain at Camp Nou, despite his lack of playing time.

“About news that came out here in Spain, I want to clarify this, I came to Barcelona with many objectives, and those who know me know that I am a very determined person,” Malcom wrote on Instagram.

“I’m very happy with my development with every passing day.

“My objective is to make my dreams come true.

“My family is also adapting very well to the city. Anyway, I’ll continue fighting for everything I desire in my career.”
