LaLiga: Griezmann to take pay cut to join Barcelona

Atletico Madrid forward, Antoine Griezmann, is ready to reduce his wages in order to seal a transfer to Barcelona in the summer.

Griezmann is wanted by Barca and Manchester United, however his £193,000-a-week salary is a stumbling block for interested clubs.

The player himself is reportedly keen on a move to the Nou Camp and is willing to accept a pay cut, so the Catalan side do not have to add too much to their huge wage bill.

According to Spanish newspaper, Sport, Griezmann will instead accept a deal with large performance and goal bonuses, to make up for any savings in his wage.

A fee of at least €100million (£87.4m) will be enough for Barcelona to prise the France international from the Wanda Metropolitano.

Griezmann has already scored 17 goals in LaLiga this season.
