LaLiga: Courtois kicks against Mourinho, Conte joining Real Madrid

Former Chelsea goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, has reacted sadly to speculations that either Jose Mourinho or Antonio Conte was heading to Real Madrid.

Courtois left Chelsea for Real Madrid this summer and reports have gone viral that either of his former bosses at Chelsea was going to become Real’s manager in a matter of weeks.

Real Madrid’s poor start under Julen Lopetegui has put the Spaniard’s future at the Bernabeu in doubt.

With just nine league games of the season gone, Real Madrid already find themselves seventh in the table, four points adrift of leaders, Barcelona.

Reports last week suggested that club president, Florentino Perez was considering sacking Lopetegui with the Spaniard given three games to save himself.

He started that run of fixtures with a shock 2-1 defeat to Levante on Saturday before getting a win under his belt in the Champions League clash against Viktoria Plzen in midweek.

Lopetegui is far from out of the woods yet, as his first El Clasico with Barcelona will be taking place on Sunday.

However, Courtois has expressed displeasure over the news, saying that he left London because he did not want to have any business with the managers.

When mentions of Mourinho and Conte came up as potential replacements for Madrid boss, Courtois was brutal in his verdict to the proposition.

“I can not believe it!” El Pais quoted Courtois as saying.

“Here I am the only one who has worked with Conte and with Mourinho.

“I left London to not have to go through something like that again and now it turns out that Conte comes, and if not, Mourinho.”
