LaLiga chief reveals futures of Ronaldo, Griezmann

La Liga chief, Javier Tebas, has said he expects Cristiano Ronaldo and Antoine Griezmann, to remain at Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid respectively beyond this summer.

Tebas, however, played down Ronaldo’s importance to Spanish football, as speculation surrounding the Portugal captain’s future continues.

Real are believed to be open to the idea of selling the 33-year-old, following Zinedine Zidane’s resignation as manager last month.

Tebas says he expects Ronaldo to stay at the Bernabeu, as well as cross-city rival riezmann to remain with Atletico, despite interest from Barcelona.

“I think that Cristiano [will] stay at Real Madrid and Antoine Griezmann [will] stay at Atletico.

“The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, out of 10, worries me a five or a four. It would not be so dramatic for La Liga. We are increasingly independent of big players,” he told Spanish radio station Onda Cero.
