Barcelona have been dealt two injury blows in one day, after confirming both Jasper Cillessen and Sergi Samper, are set for spells on the sidelines.
Samper has suffered a sprain to the internal lateral ligament of his left ankle, while Cillessen has an injury to his left rib.
The LaLiga champions, in a brief statement on their official website, noted that the club will assess the the pair further, before giving any estimation on their return.
Samper, 23, has not played a first-team match for Barcelona since the 2016 Spanish Super Cup, having spent the 2016/2017 campaign on loan at Granada and his spell with Las Palmas last season was cut short through injury.
Cillessen is the club’s second-choice goalkeeper behind Marc-Andre ter Stegen and has made 21 appearances over the past two seasons.
