Barcelona manager, Ernesto Valverde, has hailed the arrival of Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool.
Valverde, speaking after their 3-0 win over Levante on Sunday, stated that Coutinho can make his team even better.
Barca and Liverpool reached an agreement for Coutinho and the cost of the transfer could rise to €160million including add-ons, making the Brazil international the club’s record signing.
“I think he’s a player that can add a lot of things to the team,” Valverde said in his postgame news conference.
“He scores goals, creates goals […] offensively he’s a player that can improve us. It’s a big signing for us. We hope that he will help us and that he has a lot of luck because his luck will be our luck, too.”
Coutinho will be officially presented on Monday.
