Lagos to host special edition of Young CEOs Business Summit


Following the success of its international trade and investment summit in Dubai, and a recently concluded African convention in Accra, Ghana, the Young CEOs Business Forum, YCBF, will between July 4th and 5th host a special edition of its business summit in Lagos-Nigeria.


Speaking about the event which would see hundreds of entrepreneurs participating from different sectors, and highlighting the different segments of the summit, which will include; special Panel session featuring celebrated Young Entrepreneurs from the African Continent, a highly competitive

pitching session, and lead presentations from Respected Serial entrepreneurs , one of the founders of YCBF, David James Egwu explained that the summit was designed to benefit both established CEOs seeking expansion, start-up businesses seeking information and motivation, investment &

funding partners . He had stressed that the exercise will benefit the entrepreneur whose ideas and perspective were not limited to the SME market, nor exclusively local in orientation, or implementation.


He also noted that the summit would have several top-flight representatives from advertising, banking and finance, investment, venture Capitalists, civil society, social entrepreneurs, Media, consumer protection and standards organizations, serial entrepreneurs, Oil & Gas, Energy, ICT, Software developers, as well as members of some of Nigeria’s commercial legal bodies so as to properly ascertain the most credible, investment worthy business idea during the Pitching exercise.

Mr. Egwu pointed out that the person behind the winning idea would then be presented with an opportunity to attend the YCBF Europe Convention billed to take place in August/September 2015 in London. He added that the best pitches to survive the pitch process in Nigeria would stand a fair chance of acquiring investment on a global scale.

Also speaking at the press conference where this announcement was made, another co-founder of the forum, Barr Rex Idaminabo said: “We believe in

collaboration as the key to better business deals, more socially responsible commercial practice and the bridging of the gap between Africa and the rest of the world. Our aim is to see the growth of professionalism, the encouragement of innovation, the entrepreneurial spirit in Africa, and the realization of dreams in full.”
