The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has described the death of a former Minister for Housing and one-time chieftain of National Democratic Coalition, NADECO, Senator Wahab Dosunmu, as a big loss to the party.
The late politician, 75, represented Lagos Senatorial District in the National Assembly from 1999-2003.
A former Ambassador to Malyasia, Dosunmu who in his lifetime had a Lagos gubernatorial ambition, passed away yesterday in the United States.
In a terse release by his party, state publicity secretary, Mr Taofik Gani, said “the unfortunate sudden death of our great leader and true Lagosian, former Works Minister, Sen Wahab Dosunmu has just filtered into our secretariat.
“The death is a big loss to our party at this time. Indeed, he was one of our aces for the 2015 elections.
“May his soul rest in peace,” the statement added.
