Lagos lawmaker, Gbajabiamila speaks on killing of Hon. Temitope ‘Sugar’ by political thu

The Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has reacted to the death of the lawmaker representing Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency in Oyo State, Hon. Temitope Olatoye.

DAILY POST had reported that Olatoye, who was shot by some suspected political thugs on Saturday was pronounced dead at the University College Hospital (UCH).

He was rushed to the hospital immediately but died at about 7.45 pm after doctors failed to resuscitate him.

Reacting to Sugar’s death, Gbajabiamila lamented that no contest should ever end in killings.

In a tweet, the Majority Leader wrote: “I am deeply saddened by the news of my friend and colleague Hon Temitope Sugar.

“My heart goes out to his wife and children. No contest should ever come to this. Just makes no sense. RIP Sugar.”
