The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to the collapse of a three-storeyed building in Itafaji area of Lagos State.

Abubakar said no resources should be spared in rescuing those trapped and injured.

Many children are currently trapped in the collapsed building as rescue efforts are ongoing.

The children are said to be students of a primary school located on the top floor of the building.

The structure is reported to be a residential building with several apartments.

Reacting to the incident, Abubakar in a tweet wrote: “My thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of pupils caught up in the collapse of the three-storey building at Ita Faji, Lagos Island.

“No resource should be spared in rescuing the trapped and the injured.”
